The Observatoire québécois de l’adaptation aux changements climatiques (OQACC) would like to highlight the involvement of its team members in a brand‑new article on flood adaptation in Quebec, recently published in the Journal of Flood Risk Management.
“Using the theory of planned behavior to identify key beliefs underlying flood-related adaptive behaviors in the province of Québec” examines, among other things, the psychosocial factors that predict adaptive behaviours in response to flooding. By identifying the individual beliefs associated with facilitators and barriers related to the adoption of structural adaptation behaviours, the study’s findings can help inform the development of effective messages aimed at the population.
