The Observatoire québécois de l’adapation aux changements climatiques (OQACC) is working on a project that looks back at five major post‑tropical storms that hit Québec between 2019 and 2024: Dorian, Ida, Fiona, Beryl, and Debby.
The initiative aims to better understand the experiences of people affected by these storms and to draw lessons that can help improve preparedness and future responses to extreme weather events, which are expected to become stronger with climate change.
An interview with Pierre Valois, Executive Director of the OQACC, led to the publication of an article in the local newspaper Le Nord‑Côtier.
