Launch of the 2020–2025 Action Plan for Responsible and Sustainable Tourism

  • Publié le 26 February 2021

A new Action Plan from Québec’s Ministry of Tourism has just been released. Entitled “Rethinking Tourism”, this five‑year strategy places strong emphasis on climate‑change adaptation measures. Action Area 5 of the plan, “Supporting businesses in adapting and innovating in response to climate change”, aims to help Québec tourism businesses adapt their practices and business models, and even identify new business opportunities related to climate change.
This action area, supported by a budget envelope of $8 million, will make it possible, among other things, to support research and facilitate knowledge uptake by the various actors in the tourism sector.
